In this interactive mini-workshop, join Simon Jongenotter for a deep journey into food.
Simon is the founder of New Earth School, a place dedicated to the evolution of human consciousness through Earth Care, Food and connection. He’s the creator of some of the most iconic plant-based food in Bali, notably Zest Ubud, Dapur Usada and formally Mother and Bali Silent Retreat. He sees food as a vehicle for connection and is passionate about bringing out the inner chef in anyone who is ready.
People’s lives change dramatically the moment they recognize they are part of Nature. This understanding comes when people start to connect to their heart once again, children and dogs can be brilliant teachers here.
In this awakening, fear subsides and creativity arises. Life becomes effortless and trying hard to please others becomes unbearable. This is the foundation of any good cook. Since true food is created from the heart and from a deep understanding of Nature and the produce we prepare.
Simon spent 8 years in Bali growing edible ecosystems, also called food forests. Nature has been his biggest teacher, showing him that the way to success is to not fight but harmonise with all life, through recognizing symbiotic relationships and allowing them to work for us. The teachings of Nature can be applied to our personal relationships, the businesses we create, the gardens we grow and the food we cook.
