Bali Starts the Vaccination of 6-11 Years Old Children

Bali implemented the Covid-19 vaccination program for children aged 6 to 11 years, on Wednesday (11/15/2021) today.

35,000-40,000 children are targeted to be vaccinated every day. The head of the Bali Health Service, Ketut Suarjaya, said with this target, it is hoped that the first stage of vaccination for children aged 6-11 years can be completed this month.

“So that January next year it will be possible to start the second stage of vaccination,” he said on Wednesday (15/12/2021).

He explained that 373,120 children will receive phase one vaccination in Bali. The details are Denpasar City 63,594 children, Badung 45,914 children, Gianyar 40,508 children, Buleleng 74,137 children, Tabanan 33,051 children, Bangli 22,412 children, Jembrana 27,997 children, Karangasem 47,728 children, and Klungkung 17,770 children.

For today, vaccinations are held simultaneously in one elementary school in Denpasar City and eight other districts. The vaccination takes place is in several health centers, hospitals, and vaccination service posts in schools.

These children will receive Sinovac and Coronovac vaccines which have been confirmed to be safe by the Indonesian Doctors Association and National Agency of Drug and Food Control.
