Nusa Penida island has been hit by floods after a heavy rainfall, on Monday (13/12) early in the morning. As a result, the coastal area of ​​Ped Village Beach and the tourist area in Crystal Bay were damaged.

The Head of the Nusa Penida Police, Police Commissioner I Gede Redastra, said that the flood occurred at 02:00 in the morning.

“Everything is being recorded here. [Losses] have not been [recorded], we are still recording them,” said Redastra, when contacted Monday (13/12).

He confirmed that the Crystal Bay tourist attraction was devastated by the flood.

“It ravaged the beach. Suana Village in Ped Village was hit worse. Including flooded houses, drifting motorbike and a drifting car,” added Redastra.

Suana, Sakti, Ped, Kutampi Batununggul village were affected by flood.

“The water came from the hill above. Residents don’t evacuate, they only clean their houses that have been filled with mud,” said Police Commissioner I Gede Redastra.
