I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, served 268.540 passengers in May 2021. This figure has increased compared to May 2020.
In May 2021, three routes were most in demand: Bali – Jakarta, Bali -Surabaya, Bali – Bandung. 138.020 passengers took flights to Jakarta, to Surabaya – 39,812 passengers, and Bandung – 14.093 people.
The three airlines operating the biggest amount of passengers are Citilink Indonesia with 86.866 passengers, Lion Air with 60.023 passengers, and with 46.194 Garuda Indonesia passengers.
The peak daily departures were on May 30, 2021, with 8.971 passengers, while the most arrivals were 9.424 passengers on May 26, 2021.
There was a 12 percent decrease in the number of passengers and a 23 percent decrease in aircraft movements in May compared to April. It could be caused by travel restrictions during the period of mudik cancellation.
The number of passengers served in 2021 reached 1.209.475 persons, the biggest number was served in April 2021 with 307.107 passengers.
