A Man Abused His Niece, Elementary School Student

I Wayan NG, 30 allegedly committed rape of NKDW, 12, a Grade IV elementary school student, and his niece in the West Selemadeg area, Tabanan.

I Wayan NG was the younger brother of the victim’s father.

“The perpetrator and the victim are an uncle and nephew. They live separately, but are still in one Banjar, ”said the source in Tabanan, Monday (17/5).

On Monday the uncle was not yet arrested. The police are still gathering some evidence to ensnare the perpetrator who works as a farmer.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tabanan Police, AKP Aji Yoga Sekar, said that the victim’s father had reported this case to the police, Sunday (16/4) night.

“The perpetrator has not been arrested because we are still gathering several witnesses,” explained AKP Aji Yoga.

The alleged case of sexual abuse of NKDW took place on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at around 11.00. This 12-year-old SD grade IV student was sexually assaulted by the perpetrator I Wayan NG in her home.

The alleged case of child sexual abuse was revealed after the NKDW victim suddenly complained to her father, Sunday, May 16, 2021 morning. The victim admitted that she was forced by the perpetrator Wayan NG to have a husband and wife relationship.

After having intercourse with, this elementary schoolgirl was threatened by the perpetrator so she would not tell anyone about the incident.

Meanwhile, the case of alleged sexual abuse of an elementary school student, DM, 10, by a civil servant within the Klungkung Regency Government, Sang Putu S, 59, in the Banjarangkan area, Klungkung continues.

The suspect Sang Putu S, whose daily duties are in the Community Economic Empowerment Sector at the Community and Village Empowerment Service, Population Control and Family Planning of Klungkung Regency, is subject to a maximum sentence of 15 years of imprisonment plus a maximum fine of IDR 5 billion according to the Article 76e Jo Article 82 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
