A High School Student Fell From a 200 Meter High Bridge

Residents in Cau Belayu Village, Marga Sub district, Tabanan, Bali, were shocked by the incident with a high school student who allegedly committed suicide on a 200 meters high bridge, on Monday, May 17, 2021, at around 20.30.

The student with the initials I Made E (17) from Pelaga Village, Petang District, Badung, Bali, was desperate to end his life by falling from a bridge known as the Titi Gantung bridge.

The Marga Sub-district Police personnel received a report that there was an alleged suicide by the victim’s father I Wayan S (43).

The Marga Police together with the Tabanan BPBD and the Bali SAR Team managed to evacuate I Made E from the bottom of the ravine.

“The incident happened last night (Monday 17 May 2021). So this victim jumped from the bridge,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Tabanan Police, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 morning.

Previously a young woman was found dead, allegedly committed suicide on Jalan Glogor Carik Gang Kafe Dewi No. 7B Pemogan, South Denpasar, Denpasar, Bali, Thursday, May 13, 2021.

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Denpasar City, which received a report from the police, immediately moved to the location to evacuate the body.

The coordinator of the Denpasar BPBD Ambulance, Dewa Mahendra, explained that the 24-years old woman from Medan was suspected of committing suicide.

Her body was then evacuated by officers and put in a body bag and taken to the morgue at the Sanglah Central General Hospital, Denpasar.
