801 prisoners in prisons and detention centers in the Bali region received special remissions in the context of Idul Fitri 1442 Hijrah.
“The number of Idul Fitri remissions in Bali is 801. 799 persons received special remission I and 2 persons received special remission II and declared free,” said the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk.
In addition, recipients of remissions had all criminal cases, such as narcotics, embezzlement, fraud, theft, and other criminal acts except corruption.
Of the hundreds of prisoners who received remission, six of them were foreign nationals. The six foreign nationals came from Malaysia, Turkey, and Nigeria with the amount of remission from 15 days to 2 months.
Granting remissions is based on the Criminal Actions Related to Article 34 Paragraph (3) of Government Regulation No. 28 of 2006 and Article 34 A paragraph (1) of PP 99 of 2012.
