Woman Filmed on CCTV While She Was Discarding a Baby

A mother leaving her baby at the cilok food trading table on Jalan Gunung Rinjani, Denpasar on Thursday (29/4) at 02.45 am was filmed by CCTV.

The police officers are still chasing a woman and her partner who fled on a motorbike after dumping the baby. In the CCTV footage, a woman comes to the shop on Thursday morning at 02.45 local time. After getting off the motorbike, the woman put the baby bag on the trading table.

After that, the man on the motorbike turned around and picked up the woman. The CCTV also clearly shows the faces of the woman and her partner. At around 03.30 or an hour later, the shop owner, Ibu Apong heard the crying of a baby.

Ibu Apong checked the origin of the baby’s crying sound, which was finally known from the bag that was on the trading table in front of her shop. When it was opened, Ibu Apong found a baby girl in full clothes and blankets.

It turned out that a woman suspected of being the mother of the poor baby was caught on CCTV.

The baby girl was temporarily entrusted to Bidan Rai Citawati on Jalan Merpati, West Denpasar. The Tegal Kertha headmaster, I Putu Trisnajaya, said that the baby had been handed over by the police to the Bali Provincial Social Service.

Meanwhile, the West Denpasar Police are still investigating the case of dumping the baby.
