Transportation Agency Sends 177 Employees to Support the Supervision

Badung Regency Transportation Agency will deploy 177 members of personnel to support oversight of the 2021 prohibition of homecoming policies, in connection with preventing the spread of Covid-19.

The personnel will be divided between isolation posts which will be prepared by the police.

Head of the Badung Regency Transportation Agency (Dishub) AA Ngurah Rai Yuda Darma, said the policy to prohibit going home in Badung follows the central government’s policy, according to the Minister of Transportation Regulation (Permenhub) Number 13 of 2021 concerning Transportation Control during the Eid-ul-Fitr Period 1442H / 2021 in the Context of Prevention The spread of Covid-19.

The supervision of Permenhub No. 13/2021 will be carried out by the police, in this case, the Badung Police, assisted by the TNI (army) and the Regional Transportation Service.

“We are currently waiting for the checkpoints or insulation posts to be built in the Badung area. While waiting for the personnel request for the isolation post, we have prepared 177 persons who will join each of the isolation posts to support the control of transportation for Eid al-Fitr this year, “said Ngurah Rai, on Thursday (29/4).

Ngurah Rai revealed that the construction of these isolation posts is fully under the authority of the police. Regarding the number of control points or blocking posts to be prepared, this will still be discussed. The Badung Transportation Agency itself acts as a supporting, coordinative, collaborative, and synergy.

In addition to preparing personnel to be deployed, continued Ngurah Rai, the Badung Transportation Agency also uses information technology to monitor the movement of travelers by land via ATCS (Area Traffic Control System) cameras installed at national road intersections in the Badung area.

As is known, the Ministry of Transportation issued Permenhub Number 13 of 2021, following up on the results of ministerial meetings and in the plenary cabinet session which has stipulated the policy of eliminating Idul Fitri homecoming in 2021, as well as the issuance of SE Task Force Number 13 of 2021 concerning Elimination of the Idul Fitri Homecoming and Efforts Control of Covid-19 During the Holy Month of Ramadan 1442 Hijriyah.

This control of transportation is carried out through the prohibition of the use or operation of passenger transportation facilities for all modes of transportation, namely land, sea, air, and railways, starting from May 6 to May 17, 2021.

Police will be supervised in the field, assisted by the TNI, Ministry of Transportation, and the Department of Transportation in the area.
