Allegedly involved in a love affair, a student of SMPN 1 Payangan with initials I Wayan W, 15, hanged himself.

He hanged himself in the hut behind his house, in Bukian Village, Payangan District, Thursday (29/4). The body of the hanging victim was found by his aunt at around 05.30.

Before deciding to hang himself, the victim had time to write and leave a farewell letter in which he apologized to his family.

The victim’s aunt was about to collect firewood from the back hut, which was about 20 meters from her house. Then about 5 meters from where she took firewood, the witness saw something like a statue.

And how shocked the witness was to find out if it turned out to be the body of his nephew hanging from the bamboo frame that was attached to the hut.

The witness shouted for help and called the victim’s grandfather, I Nyoman Lipet, and other residents who then helped lower the victim’s body. The victim’s body was then taken to his home. The incident was then reported to Bhabinkamtibmas Bukian Village and Payangan Police.

Payangan police chief AKP I Putu Agus Ady Wijaya confirmed this. He said that after receiving the report, his party immediately went down to the TKP.

From the results of an external examination of the body, it was estimated that the victim died between 2 and 3 hours before being found. There were no signs of violence on the victim’s body. “So it is concluded that the victim died because of hanging himself,” he said.

He added that the results of the TKP process showed that the victim hanged himself using a blue plastic rope with a length of about 1 meter. Then the distance between the bamboo and the ground was about 80 centimeters. “The victim hanged himself in a hut located behind the victim’s house about 20 meters away and the victim’s body was found facing south,” he explained.

AKP Ady Wijaya added that his party found a letter containing the victim’s apology to his grandfather, father, family, and friends.

“Previously, the victim did not show any suspicious signs or had any problems. But the victim had a chat with someone the night before the incident occurred,” explained Ady Wijaya. Now the victim’s body is buried in the funeral home for further ceremonies by the family.
