Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Arda Sukawati (Cok Ace) emphasized that several requirements to open tourism for foreign tourists (tourists) have been fulfilled.

Various health facilities are available in case there are foreign tourists who have contracted COVID-19 in Bali.

“Our infrastructure is sufficient, and the government continues to improve such as hospital services and additional inpatient rooms as well,” said Cok Ace, Friday (23/4/2021).

Cok Ace emphasized that the specimen testing laboratory for COVID-19 was adequate. This is proven by qualified testing of up to 3.000 samples per day.

Tourism actors have been ready since last year. The tourism industry has prepared a cleanliness health safety and environment (CHSE) certificate. This certificate has been prepared since September last year.

“Currently, the industry has issued around 1.800 CHSE certificates for hotels, restaurants, and tourism destinations in Bali,” said Cok Ace, who is also the Chairman of the Bali Hotel and Restaurant Association (BPD PHRI).

According to Cok Ace, the existence of this certificate is also supported by public order in implementing health programs. The level of compliance of the Balinese people to the health regulations is one of the highest in Indonesia, which is around 96,8%.

Cok Ace also said that preparations to open the three areas into green areas, namely Ubud, Sanur, and Nusa Dua, are almost complete. This is indicated by the vaccination rate in the three areas which is almost 100%.

“People in the three areas have almost 100% vaccinated. Meanwhile, outside the green zone, there are around 23% or 600 thousand people in Bali. And we will continue to increase the number so that herd immunity can be achieved in Bali soon,” he added.

Meanwhile, for health support infrastructure in the three areas, Deputy Governor Cok Ace stated that it was available.

“In Nusa Dua, there is already an international standard BMC hospital, in Sanur close to RSBM which is also a COVID-19 referral hospital. Meanwhile, in Ubud, the representative Kenak Medika and Ari Canthi Hospital have just opened,” he said.
