Car parking payments will be made cashless (without cash) at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali starting April 19, 2021, for avoiding direct contact from transactions in-vehicle parking payments.

“Later, as of April 19, 2021, cashless parking payments will be implemented for four wheels and above. But it will not be fully cashless,” said the Stakeholder Relation Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Branch Office, Taufan Yudhistira, Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Taufan explained that the point of not being fully cashless is that currently, of the four toll gates that are operating, three of them are cashless, while one is still cash.

Meanwhile, payment for motorized vehicle parking is still in the development stage, in the future it may also be applied on a cashless basis.

“When it is developed in the future, there will be cashless payments for motorbike parking. Previously, car parking payments have been cashless, but because the temporarily developed system is changed again in cash and starting April 19 will re-apply cashless,” said Taufan.

Cashless car parking payments can use various electronic money or e-Money from several banks that have issued e-Money products.

The parking rates for motor vehicles and cars at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, starting April 1, 2021, have been adjusted from the previous rates.

“As of April 1, 2021, we have adjusted the parking rates for motorized vehicles,” said Stakeholder Relations Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) International Airport Branch Office I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali, Taufan Yudhistira, Thursday, April 8, 2021.

He added that previously we would do the parking rate adjustment in April 2020, but because of the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we postponed it.

And in January 2021 we started to make adjustments again, but there were dynamics, finally, we applied a discount that became the previous rate.

“With this parking rate adjustment, there is an obligation for us to continue to provide optimal service and there are other improvements. Such as a new motorcycle level parking building,” said Taufan.

With the new parking level for motorbikes, the parking capacity has doubled from the previous one.

Adjustment of parking rates, two-wheelers are charged IDR 4.000 for the first 0-12 hours, then IDR 2.000 each following hour.

Meanwhile, for four-wheeled vehicles, 0-1 hour is Rp. 10.000, then every one hour thereafter will be charged a rate of Rp. 5.000.

Then for six-wheeled vehicles or more, a parking fee of IDR 15.000 is charged, 0-1 hour, then every hour thereafter a rate of IDR 5.000 will be charged.
