The joint team stopped 55 health protocol violators in the justice operation on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong, North Kuta in Bali, on Monday (22/3) night. 38 of them were foreign nationals.
Among the 38 foreigners, 11 were not wearing masks. They were charged Rp. 1 million each.
The remaining 27 foreigners did not wear masks properly. They were given a verbal warning.
Meanwhile, 10 Indonesian citizens who did not wear masks were also fined Rp. 100 thousand. Two people were given a summons and five people were asked to make a statement letter.
“Bali consistently carries out supervision and law enforcement against those who are still trying to deliberately ignore health protocols,” said Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Bali Province I Dewa Nyoman Rai Darmadi.
He explained, foreigners who were caught in the operation of health services enforcement always gave classic reasons. They argued that they did not know there were rules.
“We do not tolerate anymore, because in their home country the rules are very strict in terms of regulations and sanctions. Don’t let Bali ignore health protocols,” said Darmadi.
