The minister of tourism and creative economy Sandiaga Uno together with several parties is preparing a policy to open Bali tourism for foreign tourists in June or July 2021. However, the opening of this tourism is carried out with several requirements for tourists and countries of origin.
He said four countries became the candidates for the travel bubble or countries that were invited to cooperate. The four countries are China, the Netherlands, Dubai, and Singapore.
Sandiaga is still coordinating with Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and Menkumham Yasonna Laoly to finalize the rules for the arrival of foreign tourists. He said there were several criteria and requirements for countries to cooperate within opening tourism. Among other things, the country has a high vaccination rate, has strict health protocols, and a high number of tracing and testing.
“And also a country that has a return home policy following the needs of our health factors.
“We will vote later, so there are several countries to be discussed but this will be finalized depending on the travel corridor arrangement of each country,” he said.
Previously, Sandiaga together with Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Saidikin and Bali Governor Wayan Koster compiled three areas to be designated as the green zone for the opening of Bali’s foreign tourism.
The three areas are ITDC in Badung Regency, Sanur Area in Denpasar City, and Ubud Area in Gianyar Regency. In these three regions, around 120 thousand doses of vaccine are needed for 110 thousand residents and tourism workers.
