Bank Indonesia will gradually deactivate cash withdrawals and other transaction activities in ATMs in Bali Province on March 13, 2021, starting at 12.00.
This was carried out in connection with the implementation of the Holy Day of Silence which falls on the upcoming Sunday (14/3).
“To commemorate the sanctity of Nyepi Day, Caka New Year 1943, which falls on March 14, among others, ATM services in Bali will indeed be deactivated,” said Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office Trisno Nugroho, on Friday (12/3).
He added that the ATM facilities will resume operating as usual starting Monday (15/3) at 07.00.
Meanwhile, electronic or digital-based banking services such as mobile banking will continue to operate as usual, as long as they are supported through communication networks or the internet.
“In this regard, to meet the needs of cash in the community, we urge withdrawals to be done before the schedule for deactivating ATMs by banks,” said Trisno.
Settlement of other transactions can be made non-cash via internet banking / mobile banking.
