The high number of cases and the many violators of the health protocol (Prokes) have made the police officers take serious measures.

To break the chain of the spread of Covid-19 in Bali, the Bali Regional Police (Polda) formed a Team for Hunting Covid-19 Health Protocol Violators (Prokes).

This team will consist of personnel from the Bali Police, the army (TNI), The Civil Service Police Units (Satpol PP), and local security officers of administrative villages (Pecalang).

They not only provide appeals or guidance but will take firm action against the health protocol violators. This assurance was conveyed by Police Chief Commissioner Firman Nainggolan.

Even though they have carried out various prevention, supervision, guidance, and justice activities, there are still additional confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 every day.

“To accelerate the handling of Covid-19 and the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination, the Bali Police will form a joint team called the Covid-19 Health Prokes Offender Hunting Team,” he said while giving directions to the Bali Police personnel at the Bali Police Headquarters, on Monday ( 1/3).

“Business owners who make crowds or offenders will be subject to the Quarantine Law,” he said.

In effect, the members of the team to hunt for Covid-19 Prokes violators who are involved in Safe Operation Nusa II will be tasked with disciplining the public to comply with health protocols.

Even during the operation, the Bali Police had prepared two trucks for the team. “Later we will prepare it, the truck will write down the Covid-19 Health Prokes Offender Hunting Team,” he said.

Firman Nainggolan said, in the Covid-19 Health Prokes Offender Hunting Team car, there would be members from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate.

Firman Nainggolan said that this member would later assist Satpol PP in conducting justice.

“If the joint team finds a place that creates a crowd, the manager will be subject to the Quarantine Act. Yes, like what Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) did,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Satpol PP will conduct the closure of the location.
