Padangbai Port Regional Police officers arrested three people suspected of having falsified the Rapid Antigen Test Certificate (Suket), on Tuesday (16/2).
The two actors with the initials SH, 34, and NW, 30, are residents of the Kecicang Service, Bungaya Kangin Village, Bebandem District, Karangasem, and B, 49, who is a resident of Bajar Sari Village, Lombok, NTB.
Currently, the three of them are being detained at the Karangasem Police Headquarters for further investigation.
Kasatreskrim Karangasem Police Iptu Aris Setyanto explained that this incident was revealed by Padangbai Port health officer I Gede Panca Wedana.
He was checking the rapid test certificates of passengers going to Lombok on Tuesday at around 1.30 pm and found an irregularity in the letter.
The officer was suspicious because the signature and stamp looked like the scans.
Because there was an obstacle to the certificate, the officer asked passenger B, where was the location of the test site. B answered that he underwent a rapid antigen test at a clinic in Amlapura, Karangasem. Meanwhile, the clinic from his certificate was not in Karangasem.
The officer asked the perpetrator, what was being examined? The perpetrator answered that the blood was tested. Meanwhile, for the rapid antigen test, the samples are taken through the nose. That was the wrong answer. The officer reported to the Padangbai Police.
Furthermore, the Padangbai Police officer secured the perpetrators at the Padangbai Port Area Police Headquarters. And then this case was transferred to the Karangasem Police Satreskirim for development.
These three actors have different roles. Perpetrator B is a user of a certificate due to traveling to Lombok to visit his wife who is sick.
Meanwhile, the NW perpetrator served as a liaison to SH as a fake antigen test certificate maker.
The letter was sold for IDR 50,000. “We are still investigating the case, and it is still being developed,” explained Kasat Reskrim AKP Aris.
It was stated that B was charged with Article 263 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code and or article 268 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code and or article 93 in conjunction with article 9 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine and/or article 14 of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning An infectious disease outbreak.
