A foreign national from the United States, Marcus Dorian Price was deported by the TPI Ngurah Rai Class I Immigration Office. He was deported after serving eight months in the Bangli Class IIB State Detention Center.
“This foreign national has previously served a sentence at the Bangli Class IIB State Detention Center, he who was convicted by the 351 Criminal Code with a lengthy sentence of 8 months,” explained the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk, in a written statement, on Wednesday (17/2/2021).
Jamaruli revealed that Marcus had violated Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 the Year 2011 concerning Immigration.
Administrative action is carried out when carrying out dangerous activities and can reasonably be suspected of endangering public security and order or not respecting or disobeying statutory regulations.
“The person concerned is subject to immigration administrative action in the form of deportation and his name is included in the list of deterrence as referred to in Article 75 paragraph 2 letters (a) and (f) of Law Number 6 the Year 2011 concerning Immigration,” explained Jamaruli.
The deportation was carried out on February 16, 2021 by Qatar Airways flight number QR703 with the Jakarta-DOHA flight route.
The flight continued by Qatar Airways with flight number QR703 on the DOHA-John F. Kenedy International Airport route.
Marcus was previously found guilty of committing a criminal act of maltreatment and subject to Article 351 of the Criminal Code. He was later sentenced to 8 months in prison.
