The Provincial Government of Bali will implement a new pattern in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. The new pattern is to form healthy zones that are free from COVID-19 in several areas. These zones include the cities of Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, and Klungkung.
The Governor of Bali Wayan Koster said that he had discussed it with the Indonesian Minister of Health by telephone. The Minister of Health will come to Bali to apply a new pattern in handling COVID-19.
“For example in Sanur, in Ubud, in Kuta we will make the red zone, handled specifically by the Minister of Health. Later we will map it together. So it will be used as a healthy zone, zone number one. Traveling there will be safe. But those who go there must be healthy too. Those who get there must have rapid antigen test, “explained Koster.
“We’re going to build a model like that. I think it’s a good example,” said Koster.
Through this effort, Bali will at the same time implement the Free COVID-19 Corridor program from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno.
“So we will integrate it. Then the tourism is allowed,” said Koster.
